Sage Farm

The farm produces organic herbs and vegetables of the finest quality grown in the local “terroir” and is aimed to excite Sage customers and staff alike with fine examples of what we can produce and harvest locally. Once completed the sage farm including its landscaped gardens and dams will be an ideal setting weekend visits and functions just minutes from the city.
Spread over 6oo acres in the Majura valley and just a stones throw from the restaurant (8.3km), The Sage farm has been designed to showcase urban farming and food sustainability practices as an example for Canberra and the rest of Australia.

The farm is already home to over 100 head of black angus cattle, suffolk sheep and we are also looking to build our own chicken run in the near future. Other animals set to inhabit the farm include rare breed pigs and native fish.

The Sage & Mint staff are involved with food production from paddock to plate with the intention of establishing a real connection and passion for the food and the processes that lead up to the creation of the Sage menu.
