Nestled inside a treasured 1920s heritage building in the heart of Canberra, this award winning dining room continues to serve up excellence and a very special warmth with new owner Kyle Prowse, who was formerly Sous Chef of Sage Restaurant.
A new beginning but with the same love for Sage, Kyle has kept the same welcoming Tuscan tones and seating inside for forty and outside seating for balmy evenings and shaded lunches.
Guests are welcomed as if to dinner in the family home, with the art on the walls showing off the talent of local artists, which may be available for sale.
Sage’s philosophy seems almost arrestingly simple. Treat your customers to the finest food and service and let the rest follow naturally. Excellent modern Australian cuisine will continue with Kyle, who has been mentored by Thomas Moore, previous owner and one of Canberra’s favourite chefs.
